The cooperation between Allianz Bank and Edelman Polska includes the design of communications strategy related to the Bank's entry into the market, management of special events, crisis management consultancy and support in everyday media activities. Edelman Polska was selected in a tender in which 5 agencies participated. Public relations activities for Allianz Bank will be carried out by the Corporate PR Department of Edelman Polska, supported by Consumer PR Department in management of special events. Edelman Inc. is the biggest independent, public relations network agency in the world. In June 2005, the Company opened its office in Warsaw. In consequence, Poland became the first out of ten new EU Member States, where Edelman has its office. Edelman Polska employs 25 consultants specialized in corporate public relations and brand management. The consultants of Edelman Polska have experience in serving clients from the following industries: financial, pharmaceutical, power engineering, automobile, new technologies and fast moving goods. Allianz Bank is owned by the insurance company Allianz Polska, a unit of Allianz Group, which is one of the biggest financial institutions in the world. In 2007, it achieved total revenues of EUR 102 billion, and net profit of nearly EUR 8 billion. It also manages third-party assets in excess of EUR 1,000 billion. Allianz Group employs 181 thousand people i n 77 countries. Allianz Bank is a retail bank for individual clients and people conducting business activities, and its offer includes mortgages in various currencies, cash loans, debit and credit cards, deposits and accounts. After 11 years of activity on the Polish financial market, the Allianz Polska Group has 2 million customers in Poland. Studies conducted by the Pentor Institute show that as many as 80% of the Group’s clients are interested in the banking products offered by Allianz Bank.
